Overview
Tallybook helps inshore fishermen log all of their catch, not just the official logs, track revenue and see the net profit of each trip. It also works out crew payments, so skippers can see what each trip really earned.
Why I built it
Small inshore boats often run on paper notes and memory. Official logbooks only capture part of the picture, so skippers struggle to know which trips, grounds and species actually make money once fuel, bait and crew shares are taken out.
What it does
Log every catch
Record everything landed on a trip, by species and weight, beyond what the official logs require.
Trip profitability
Set sales against costs like fuel and bait to see the net result of each trip.
Crew payments
Works out each crew member's share automatically, so pay-outs are quick and fair.
Private accounts
Each skipper signs in to their own account, keeping their figures to themselves.
